Job Summary

The Technical University of Dortmund is seeking a dedicated Technician for Plant Technology and Energy Generation to join its Building and Facility Management department. In this full-time, permanent role, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of energy-related plants and networks, including heating and cooling systems. Key responsibilities also involve coordinating and planning modifications and expansions, organizing control room operations, and overseeing expert inspections for pressure equipment and emissions. You will also be tasked with creating and updating risk assessments and operating instructions, as well as conducting safety briefings. Required Skills

Education

Certified Technician (Staatlich geprüfte/r Techniker/in), preferably in Supply Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or comparable knowledge and experience

Experience

  • Professional experience in maintenance and operation of large-scale energy supply systems (e.g., large-capacity water boilers, combined heat and power plants, chillers)
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., BetrSichV, TRBS, DGUV)
