This role involves leading the Radiation Protection FRG/HL group within a research center, focusing on the decommissioning of a research reactor and nuclear facilities. The successful candidate will act as a deputy radiation protection officer, ensuring the monitoring of radiation levels, air activity, and contamination, and advising leadership on necessary operational radiation protection measures. Key responsibilities include personnel and workplace monitoring, environmental monitoring, and managing personal dosimetry. The position requires expertise in nuclear regulations, experience with measurement technology, and the ability to manage technical documentation and interact with regulatory authorities. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Dipl.-Ing. [UNI] or M.Sc.) in Nuclear Technology, Nuclear Engineering, Nuclear Chemistry, Nuclear Physics, or comparable field

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in radiation protection
  • Initial leadership experience
  • Proficient in Atomic Energy Act (AtG), Radiation Protection Act (StrlSchG), and Radiation Protection Ordinance (StrlSchV)
  • Very good knowledge of applying for and processing atomic law amendment procedures
  • Experience with measurement technology
