Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead the Plant Engineering group within the Research Reactor department. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the decommissioning of a research reactor and the dismantling of nuclear facilities. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing maintenance and modification measures on components, ensuring meticulous documentation, and managing the decommissioning of systems. The role demands a proactive approach to adapting systems to changing conditions during the dismantling process and ensuring compliance with all relevant legal frameworks and quality assurance standards. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in nuclear engineering, leadership potential, and a commitment to safety and regulatory adherence in a complex, high-stakes environment.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Dipl.-Ing. [UNI] or M. Sc.) in Nuclear Technology, Nuclear Engineering, Nuclear Chemistry, Nuclear Physics, or comparable field.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in plant engineering or a comparable field
  • Initial leadership experience
  • Very good knowledge in applying for and processing nuclear law amendment procedures
  • Proficient in and very good knowledge of required legal regulations
  • Desirable: Experience in moderating groups
