Job Summary
Join the newly established Institute for Sustainable Hydrogen Economy (INW) at Forschungszentrum Jülich, a leading European research center. This role focuses on the development, implementation, and troubleshooting of online and inline measurement methods and innovative sensor technology for pilot plants involved in the production and use of chemical hydrogen storage materials like ammonia, methanol, and LOHCs. You will validate and analyze measurement procedures, support the integration of these methods into process control systems, and contribute to research data management. The position also involves mentoring doctoral students and presenting research findings at conferences and in scientific journals. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the energy transition and make a tangible impact on sustainability.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree in Analytical, Technical, or Physical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a comparable field. Doctorate is desirable.
Experience
- Experience and knowledge in process analysis technology and/or physicochemical analytics, ideally for gas phase measurements
- Experience in machine learning is a plus
- Experience in practical implementation and troubleshooting
