Job Summary

This Doctoral Researcher position is based at the newly formed Institute for Sustainable Hydrogen Economy (INW) at Forschungszentrum Jülich, focusing on cutting-edge research crucial for the energy transition in Germany. The core responsibility involves investigating continuous Butanediol Dehydrogenation for dynamic hydrogen release, specifically utilizing pressure control mechanisms. Day-to-day tasks include the crucial setup and commissioning of a new dedicated test stand, performing detailed parameter studies, comparing various catalyst materials, and developing innovative test rig modifications. The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Technology and must be highly motivated to complete the doctoral thesis within three years.
