Job Summary
This role involves designing, implementing, and operating robust network security infrastructures, including firewalls and intrusion prevention/detection systems, within a large university setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and securing networks in cloud environments, enforcing security policies in collaboration with stakeholders, and analyzing/mitigating security incidents. Key responsibilities also include the planning, administration, configuration, and monitoring of network traffic, as well as the operation of the university's wired and wireless network infrastructure. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, extensive knowledge of network technology and security, and a collaborative approach to ensure a reliable, secure, and high-performance communication infrastructure for research, teaching, and administration.

Education
University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics
Experience
- Several years of experience in the conception and operation of large networks
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in network technology, Cisco portfolio, firewall, and network security
- Thorough knowledge of IT security in the network area
