Job Summary

The Cologne Graduate School of Ageing Research (CGA) is offering up to 12 fully funded PhD positions for highly motivated and talented researchers. This opportunity provides structured PhD training within a cutting-edge, international research environment, focusing on interdisciplinary studies related to ageing-associated diseases. The program is a joint venture involving the University of Cologne and Max Planck Institutes, offering dedicated supervision and comprehensive career mentoring in the vibrant city of Cologne. Successful candidates will engage in advanced research, contributing to fields such as molecular biology, genetics, and biochemistry. Applicants must possess an MSc or equivalent degree in a relevant life science discipline (e.g., bioinformatics, cell biology, or genetics) and demonstrate excellent academic performance throughout their studies. The program is conducted entirely in English, requiring candidates to have very good proficiency (C1 level) in both written and spoken English.
