Technische Universität Chemnitz
Job Summary
This role involves hands-on work with advanced textile manufacturing technologies, focusing on fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) structures. The successful candidate will be responsible for CAD and programming of Tailored Fiber Placement (TFP) and Dry Fiber Placement (DFP) processes, including preparing and conducting experiments, analyzing results, and laminating FRP structures. Key responsibilities also include selecting and programming measurement technology for acceleration and strain characteristics, as well as independently organizing, operating, monitoring, and maintaining TFP/DFP and CNC milling machines. The position requires expertise in designing and manufacturing textile preforms and FRPs, particularly for sports equipment, along with conceptualizing and implementing textile experimental setups. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in textile technologies and composite materials to contribute to an innovative research project in a university setting.
