Job Summary

Join the IT System House of the Federal Employment Agency in Nuremberg as a Specialist System Engineer. This role focuses on ensuring the stability and performance of one of Germany's largest IT landscapes, managing over 100 applications and 180,000 networked workstations. You will be instrumental in planning, administering, and maintaining IT systems and infrastructure, analyzing system requirements, and developing and monitoring both software and hardware. A key part of the role involves identifying and resolving system issues to guarantee high availability and security. This position offers a challenging yet rewarding environment with opportunities for professional development and a high degree of flexibility, including up to 80% remote work. The role is temporary until December 31, 2026.

Required Skills

Education

University degree or comparable qualification (preferred fields: Computer Science, Business Informatics)

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience
  • In-depth knowledge in the development and/or operation of software solutions and infrastructures
  • Solid knowledge in troubleshooting software solutions and/or infrastructures
  • Solid knowledge of programming languages and/or in adapting software solutions and infrastructures
