Join the innovative ComAI Research Space team at the University of Bremen as a Research Associate, focusing on developing cutting-edge software for communication and media research. This full-time, 36-month limited contract position involves conceptualizing, developing, and evaluating an open-source web-based tool for collecting and visualizing data related to communicative AI. You'll be instrumental in building backend databases for social media, media reporting, and media usage data, alongside app development for data collection. The role requires active participation in co-creation workshops, meticulous code documentation, and contributing to relevant publications. This is an exciting opportunity for a software developer with a background in computer science or media studies, eager to apply their skills to interdisciplinary research at the intersection of AI, communication, and social sciences.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or University Diploma in Computer Science, Media Informatics, Communication and Media Studies, or a comparable field with software development experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in software development
- Experience in developing dynamic web applications (PHP, JavaScript, MySQL)
- Experience with Python, R, Laravel, Vue.js (desirable)
- Experience with AI / LLM-based data analysis (desirable)
