Job Summary

The Technical Employee for Infrastructural Building Management will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of buildings, facilities, and equipment within the Physics of Life (PoL) Excellence Cluster at TU Dresden. This role involves comprehensive building management, from developing and conceptualizing new systems and apparatuses to overseeing their commissioning and providing technical training. Key responsibilities include planning and executing construction measures, conducting performance and efficiency analyses, preparing tender documents, and managing budgets for building operations. The successful candidate will also coordinate external service providers, ensure compliance with safety standards, and develop sustainable optimization measures. This position offers a challenging and diverse role within a dynamic, international research environment, contributing to cutting-edge interdisciplinary research in biology, biophysics, and computer science.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Biotechnology, Building Technology, Facility Management, or a similar relevant engineering field

Experience

  • Professional experience in laboratory and equipment management in a university or non-university research environment
  • Practical experience in biological or biophysical laboratories
  • Experience in the development and conceptualization of complex structures, systems, and apparatuses
  • Experience in leading relevant construction phases
