Job Summary
This role is for a highly motivated Doctoral Researcher to contribute to cutting-edge research in solid-state batteries at Forschungszentrum Jülich, a leading European research center. The successful candidate will focus on developing new materials and components for sulfide/halide-type solid-state batteries, aiming to overcome current challenges like limited ionic conductivity and high interfacial resistance. Day-to-day tasks involve extensive literature review, designing and executing experiments for material science and electrochemical analysis, and presenting findings in various forums. This position offers a unique opportunity to actively shape the future of energy storage by contributing to safer, higher-density, and longer-lasting battery technologies, working within an international and interdisciplinary team.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree with excellent grades in Material Science, Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, or another relevant discipline
Experience
- Previous experience and knowledge in electrochemistry and solid-state chemistry
- Strong interest in hands-on research
