Job Summary
The Joint Data Center of the German Pension Insurance, located in Berlin and Würzburg, is seeking a System Administrator for their SAN/Storage Basic Infrastructure team. This role involves the installation, configuration, and operation of critical IT systems, including SAN directors, storage systems (Hitachi, Fujitsu), and virtual tape libraries. The successful candidate will also manage virtual Linux servers, monitor IT systems for errors, and contribute to IT projects and security measures. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor/Diploma/FH) in IT, comparable IT qualification, professional IT training, or comparable practical experience in IT
Experience
- Professional experience in IT system administration
- Several years of professional experience in the installation and configuration of Linux server operating systems

- Willingness to participate in early/late shifts (6 AM - 9:30 PM) and on-call duties (via phone, SMS, messaging); Occasional business trips within Germany (approx. 3 times per year); Willingness to work weekends and nights for on-call duties; Positive completion of a security clearance (SÜ) according to § 9 Sicherheitsüberprüfungsgesetz (SÜG) is required.
