Job Summary

This role is for an IT Administrator specializing in middleware and applications at the University of Bielefeld's IT Service Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and restoration of IT services, particularly for the Medical Faculty. Working within experienced teams, you will conceptualize, implement, and operate secure IT services, focusing on both on-premises and cloud environments. Key responsibilities include designing and building server applications, automating systems using scripting and tools, providing 2nd/3rd-level support, and maintaining documentation. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant IT field or equivalent professional experience, strong knowledge of multiple operating systems, scripting, and server operations.
