Job Summary

This role is for a highly motivated Technical Assistant to join the interdisciplinary Translational Pharmacology research group, focusing on individualized drug therapies for cardiovascular diseases and inflammatory pain. The core responsibilities involve hands-on laboratory work, including managing and phenotyping transgenic mouse lines (35%) and executing cell and molecular biology experiments on patient and mouse biosamples (35%). The assistant will also be crucial in laboratory organization, including procurement and ordering (20%), and will contribute to the planning, evaluation, and interpretation of experiments alongside a multidisciplinary team (10%). This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional development in Translational Medicine, collaborating closely with clinicians and specialized core facilities in a modern, internationally networked research environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Chemical, Biological, or Medical Technical Assistant (CTA, BTA, MTA) or Medical Technologist (MT); alternatively, completed training as a Chemical or Biological Laboratory Technician with equivalent qualifications and experience.

Experience

  • Experience handling transgenic mouse lines
