Job Summary
This leadership role at Telekom Deutschland GmbH involves spearheading three critical business areas: Inflight Services, European Aviation Network (EAN), and the Satellite Commercial Hub. The successful candidate will drive growth in cutting-edge inflight connectivity solutions for airlines, manage the P&L for EAN's ground infrastructure, and expand Deutsche Telekom's satellite-supported business propositions. Key responsibilities include shaping strategic direction, accelerating business growth, building strong external and internal networks, defining and executing partner strategies, overseeing financial planning, identifying new business opportunities, and developing sales strategies for top accounts. This position is ideal for an entrepreneurial leader with a strong background in satellite communications or inflight connectivity, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven ability to lead virtual and cross-functional teams in an international context.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in economics, technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional training and specialization
Experience
- Professional experience in Sales, Product Management, or Strategy/Business Development
- Proven track record of leading virtual teams and strategic projects, including cross-functional collaboration, ideally within an international context
- Deep knowledge of the technological, regulatory, and market frameworks governing the satellite communications and/or Inflight Connectivity space
- Experience in leading teams with a self-understanding as a coach and mentor
- Experience negotiating and closing significant contracts, preferably with satellite connectivity providers, hyperscalers, airlines, or major technology companies
