Job Summary

This role involves leading the civil engineering efforts for Deutsche Telekom's ambitious fiber optic expansion across Germany, aiming to connect all households by 2030. As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the operational and personnel leadership of 12-14 civil engineering specialists, ensuring all construction sites adhere to technical, scheduling, and economic specifications. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating construction preparation, overseeing the proper installation and backfilling of cable trenches, and ensuring the operational readiness of the network. You will act as the primary contact for clients, authorities, and third parties, conduct quality controls, lead coordination meetings, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering (Construction focus preferred) or relevant vocational training combined with multi-year experience in civil engineering and proven leadership skills, coupled with technical affinity and budget management knowledge.
