Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Materials Testing Technician or Laboratory Technician to join a renowned aerospace company in Donauwörth, Germany. The successful candidate will be deeply involved in the testing and analysis of materials, particularly composites, for aerospace applications. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating testing requirements with internal clients, preparing and processing samples, performing various analytical tests such as microscopy, thermal analysis (DSC, DMA, TMA), rheometry, and IR spectroscopy. A critical part of the role is the meticulous documentation of work steps and the creation of test reports in accordance with ISO 17025 quality management standards. There's also potential for conducting technical investigations in laboratory electroplating, defining new testing instructions, interpreting results, and assisting with failure analyses on damaged components. • Certified Materials Tester (Technician/Specialist) or • Technician, Laboratory Assistant, Materials Tester or • Completed vocational training in Material Science (Metals or Composites) or • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or • Bachelor's degree in Composite Materials or • Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Composite Materials or comparable field

Experience

  • Over 3 years in Engineering

  • Laboratory experience
  • In-depth knowledge of material science and destructive materials testing
