Job Summary

As a Telecommunications Service Technician, you will be instrumental in ensuring seamless communication at the Koelnmesse exhibition grounds. Your daily tasks will involve the installation, commissioning, and de-installation of modern telecommunication (TK) systems, including setting up, programming, and maintaining telephone systems, DECT systems, and Access and WLAN networks. You will also be responsible for configuring, programming, and troubleshooting switches, routers, hubs, and customer devices, and ensuring stable connections by laying fiber optic patches. This role requires technical expertise in a dynamic exhibition environment, often involving a 2-shift system and approximately 20-30% weekend work due to exhibition schedules. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in telecommunications or electrical engineering with a focus on telecommunications, familiarity with DSL, VDSL, VOIP, and WLAN technologies, and experience with TK system installations, ideally in an exhibition setting. Strong team-player skills, resilience, flexibility, and good English or another foreign language are essential.
