Job Summary

Join a high-tech team at Kappa optronics, a leader in vision systems for Defense, Aviation, and Automotive, and contribute to developing world-class safety solutions. In this role, you will focus on the development of image signal and data processing within camera systems, including Automotive ECUs and Aviation VDUs. Key responsibilities involve implementing complex algorithms in VHDL, integrating FPGA IPs for memory control and data transmission (MIPI-CSI2, DDR), and performing VHDL design simulation and verification. You'll also engage in debugging with embedded FPGA IP-Cores and utilize various lab equipment. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Embedded Systems, coupled with initial experience in FPGA design workflows, timing analysis, and a strong interest in developing functionally safe image processing systems, working collaboratively within an agile team.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or comparable field

Experience

  • Initial experience as an FPGA designer and in relevant workflows (VHDL, Simulation, Integration, Verification)
  • Initial experience in timing analysis and constraining for high-speed systems
  • Experience in FPGA Toolchains (Vitis Vivado is a plus)
  • Experience in microcontroller development and integration with FPGA-based systems is a plus
  • Experience in microcontroller design / Linux Device Tree Design for MPSoC-based system integration is a plus
