Job Summary

This role involves working as a central data manager within the FInAL project, focusing on the development and evaluation of innovative measures for insect promotion in agricultural landscapes. The successful candidate will be the primary contact for all data and geodata-related topics, including the co-development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a database for field data and a digital input tool. A key responsibility is the co-development and maintenance of the FInAL WebGIS application, translating specific measures into digital maps and applications using GIS tools. The position requires strong data documentation skills, adherence to data protection, and close cooperation with project partners from science and agriculture. The role is ideal for someone with a background in geoinformatics or related fields, excellent GIS and geodatabase knowledge, and strong statistical skills, who is eager to work in an interdisciplinary, international environment.

Required Skills

Education

University of Applied Sciences or Bachelor's degree in Geoinformatics, Landscape Planning, Geography, Agricultural, Forestry, Environmental Sciences, or a comparable discipline

Experience

  • Professional experience in data and geodata management
  • Experience in developing and maintaining databases and digital input tools
  • Experience with WebGIS applications and GIS tools
  • Experience in documenting results and presenting at meetings/conferences
