Job Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a Chemical Technical Assistant or Chemical Laboratory Technician to join an international research team at the Technical University of Munich, focusing on cutting-edge peptide biochemistry. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing novel peptides for inhibiting amyloid formation in Alzheimer's and Type 2 Diabetes, as well as addressing atherosclerosis. Day-to-day responsibilities include hands-on work with peptide synthesis, HPLC purification, spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and various biochemical and biophysical methods. Beyond experimental work, the role involves essential lab management tasks like ordering, equipment maintenance, and ensuring laboratory and hazardous material safety. Required Skills

Education

Completed training as a Chemical Technical Assistant, Chemical Laboratory Technician, or in related fields

Experience

  • Experience in peptide synthesis and chromatographic purification techniques is desirable but not mandatory
  • Ability to work accurately in chemical and biochemical environments

  • This is a full-time, fixed-term position for two years with the option of extension or permanent employment, starting July 1, 2025, or as soon as possible.
