Job Summary

Sachsenforst is seeking a Project Manager for the INTERREG "REDEMA" project, based at the Saxon Switzerland National Park and Forest Administration. This is a part-time (60%), fixed-term position until December 31, 2026, starting September 1, 2025. The role involves leading a cross-border project focused on red deer management in the Saxon and Bohemian Switzerland National Parks, in collaboration with international partners. Key responsibilities include project management, financial reporting, data collection and analysis, organizing workshops, and developing a cross-border red deer management plan. The ideal candidate will have a background in environmental sciences, biology, landscape planning, nature conservation, or geography, with experience in wildlife monitoring, GIS, and strong English language skills. Required Skills

Education

University of Applied Sciences or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Biology, Landscape Planning, Nature Conservation, or Geography, or a comparable degree

Experience

  • Experience in nature conservation monitoring, preferably in wildlife monitoring with camera systems, browsing monitoring, and spatial analysis
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Prior knowledge in project management (ideally)
  • Prior knowledge in public relations (ideally)
  • Experience with public procurement procedures (ideally)

English (Fluent)

Additional

  • Fixed-term contract until December 31, 2026. Part-time (60% / 24 hours per week), with potential for increased working hours. Knowledge of the National Park region and its legal basis (ideally). Czech language skills (ideally).
