Job Summary
This doctoral candidate position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the cutting-edge field of optical clocks within an industrial setting. The successful candidate will be enrolled at a partner university (Humboldt-University Berlin) and focus on the development of a compact optical clock based on hot Rb vapor, from initial system design to full characterization. Key responsibilities include conducting feasibility studies and proof-of-concept experiments on the Rb clock transition. The role involves close collaboration with consortium partners, requiring extended stays at various European institutions and participation in workshops and meetings across Europe. This 3-year position is part of a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network, providing extensive networking and scientific exchange opportunities.
