Job Summary

This is a key development role focusing on bringing Nobel Prize-winning frequency comb technology into orbit. The successful candidate will join the 'Solutions for Space' team, developing robust mixed-signal electronics modules for complex, high-precision laser systems used in demanding space applications. Day-to-day responsibilities span the entire product lifecycle, from defining requirements and designing the electronic system architecture in collaboration with cross-functional teams (mechanics, software) to developing multilayer PCBs optimized for HF and high-speed digital signals. You will be responsible for commissioning, verifying, and troubleshooting hardware, ensuring compliance with stringent standards like IPC, MIL, and ECSS. This position requires a background in electrical engineering and proven experience in verifying electronics robustness against extreme external influences (vibration, radiation, vacuum), offering a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge quantum technologies in the rapidly growing space market.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Technology, or an equivalent qualification

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in developing electronic modules
  • Experience in designing and verifying electronics for robustness against external influences (Temperature fluctuations, Vibration, EMI/EMC, Radiation, Vacuum)
  • Desirable: Experience in the aerospace environment, ideally knowledge of ECSS guidelines and their application in development and testing processes
