Job Summary
As an R&D Engineer specializing in protection systems for high voltage substations, you will be instrumental in developing and testing cutting-edge protection solutions within Digital Grid's Innovation and Business Development unit. Your daily responsibilities will involve defining and realizing concepts for protection and automation in digital substations, collaborating closely with R&D, project execution, and project management teams. You will develop and maintain power system protection schemes, align with hardware/software architects, and build and test prototypes. This role is ideal for an electrical engineer with deep expertise in high voltage substations and digital substation technologies, offering the chance to contribute to the future of energy transmission and distribution.
Required Skills
Education
Ph.D. or Master/Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems, or equivalent education.
Experience
- Several years of experience in high voltage substations (primary and secondary equipment)
- Experience with engineering software for protection IEDs from different vendors
- Deep knowledge in the engineering, testing, and commissioning of digital substations
