The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing applications and approving subsidies for indirect CO2 costs under the electricity price compensation directive. Key tasks also include managing emissions trading for industrial facilities, which involves allocating emission allowances, approving monitoring plans, and reviewing emission reports. The position requires contributing to the ongoing development of emissions trading and electricity price compensation policies. Ideal candidates will possess a strong technical or scientific background, experience in industrial processes or greenhouse gas accounting, and a keen interest in data analysis, offering a stable and impactful career in environmental protection.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma (FH)) in Technical Environmental Protection, Environmental Engineering, Chemical or Industrial Engineering (with an engineering focus), or Energy and Process Engineering.

Experience

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: process engineering in the iron and steel industry, power plant technology, or mineral oil processing industry
  • Experience in greenhouse gas determination
  • Administrative or enforcement experience, or similar knowledge
  • Experience in recording and evaluating material, energy, and emission data (desirable)
