Job Summary
This role involves driving the development and implementation of Factory Digital Twins within Siemens Energy's Grid Technologies organization, supporting the Digital Governance and Excellence Team. The successful candidate will work directly with over 30 factories in the manufacturing network, implementing solutions for Factory Digital Twin Simulation (FDTS). A key responsibility is to extract business value from available data sources by deploying advanced data analytics methods, models, algorithms, and visualizations. The position requires a professional who can analyze factory data, develop ETL pipelines, conduct simulation analytics, and create AI algorithms for optimization. This is an opportunity to significantly impact global planning and strategic initiatives, contributing to enhanced transparency and data-driven decision-making across a vast manufacturing network.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or similar
Experience
- Profound understanding and experience in factory domains, production, product structures, and manufacturing processes and technologies, especially in factory planning
- Working knowledge in modelling and Discrete Event Simulation (DES) as well as description and evaluation of scenarios with Tecnomatix Plant Simulation
- Knowledge of development and usage of 3D models in CAD-environment (e.g., NX, AutoCAD) is beneficial
- Experience in development of ETL-Pipelines and development of dashboards for data analytics and visualisation
- Experience in programming (e.g., Python, C++) and development of databases, ontologies and queries (RDF, SPARQL, SHACL, SQL)
- Experience in development and application of AI-Algorithms from analytics up to optimization
