Job Summary

The Police Headquarters in Frankfurt am Main is seeking a dedicated Technical Administrator for Communication Technology. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring optimal voice communication for the police force, primarily focusing on telephony (Mobile Device Management for iPhones/iPads and landline phones) and supporting digital and analog radio systems. Your day-to-day tasks will involve on-site support for IT communication systems, managing ITK administration applications, patching network lines, creating technical documentation, and providing first and second-level user support. You will also coordinate with managed service providers and network operators. This position offers an interesting, varied, and challenging environment for professionals passionate about IT-based communication technology in a public safety context, with opportunities for direct user interaction and participation in special operations.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an IT Systems Integration Specialist, Communication Electronics Technician, or an equivalent specialized vocational training.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT system integration or communication electronics
  • Proven multi-year relevant professional experience (if alternative qualification)
  • Experience with VoIP infrastructures and networking
  • Experience with PC/Client and Server operating systems
  • Experience with MDM systems, end devices (smartphones, tablets), and their operating systems/protocols
  • Experience with mobile communication technology and contracts
  • Experience in coordinating managed service providers and network operators
  • Willingness to perform on-call duties and work outside regular hours for police operations
