Job Summary

The Frankfurt am Main Police Headquarters is seeking an IT System Administrator specializing in video systems. This role involves the independent development, setup, and operation of video surveillance and video systems for policing needs. Key responsibilities include planning, developing, and programming software for mobile IT, police-specific media controls, and monitoring systems, as well as managing video networks, gateways, server systems, and bodycam systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT-based video technology, networks, and server structures. This position offers an interesting, varied, and challenging work environment with flat hierarchies and significant autonomy, contributing directly to public safety.

Required Skills

Education

University of Applied Sciences degree (Bachelor/Diploma) in Computer Science or a comparable field, OR demonstrably equivalent skills with long-term professional experience in IT related to the advertised tasks.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT with a focus on video systems and related tasks
  • Practical experience with VPN techniques
