Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the high availability and functionality of telecommunication systems and applications for the Berlin Police. The successful candidate will be responsible for continuous monitoring, fault analysis, troubleshooting, and maintenance of critical communication infrastructure, including the 110 emergency system. Key duties include advising users and departments on technical matters, developing and implementing communication technology solutions, and integrating them into existing systems. The position requires a strong technical background in information, communication, or electrical engineering, coupled with practical experience in telecommunication systems. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor, Diploma [FH]) in Information, Communication, or Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical degree with a focus on data processing technology; OR completed vocational training in Communication, Information, or Electrical Engineering; OR equivalent qualification through long-term professional experience in the mentioned technical areas.

Experience

  • Long-term professional experience in telecommunication technology (if no degree)
  • Professional experience in information, communication, or electrical engineering fields

  • Willingness to be on-call and work outside regular office hours, including weekends and holidays. Ability to independently transport tools, materials, and equipment. Possession of a Class B driving license and willingness to drive official vehicles. Physical resilience for transporting equipment.
