Job Summary
This role involves managing and optimizing an electricity portfolio for an established, independent Swiss energy service provider. The core responsibilities include the planning and operational execution of procurement across various trading venues and channels, alongside the continuous development of advanced trading strategies and forecasting models. You will be responsible for conducting detailed market, price, and risk analyses, utilizing key performance indicators such as PnL and VaR. A crucial part of the job is automating and ensuring the accuracy of billing-relevant processes, reporting, and offer calculations. The ideal candidate will independently lead projects aimed at advancing processes and the system landscape within the energy sector. This position is perfect for highly analytical professionals with a quantitative background ready to take ownership of strategic portfolio development in the dynamic Swiss energy market.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Uni/FH) in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Energy Economics, Mathematics/Physics, or a comparable field (candidates nearing graduation are also considered).
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of practical experience in portfolio management or energy trading
- Professional experience in developing and implementing trading and procurement strategies
- Foundational knowledge of the Swiss electricity market is highly desirable
