Job Summary

The Energy Trader will be responsible for the holistic management and optimization of the electricity portfolio. Key daily tasks include strategic procurement across Spot, Term, and OTC markets, alongside the continuous development and implementation of modern trading and hedging strategies. A crucial component of the role involves daily market and risk analyses, covering PnL, VaR, and stress scenarios. Furthermore, the trader will drive efficiency by automating complex processes such as billing, reporting, and forecasting. This position is attractive due to its high level of autonomy, allowing the successful candidate to lead digitalization and process optimization projects. Candidates should possess a university degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Energy Economics) and mandatory programming skills (Python, SQL). Experience in portfolio management within the Swiss and European electricity markets is highly beneficial.
