Job Summary
This role offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive organizational and administrative support to the Head of the Department for Urban Planning, Building Regulations, and Environment. Day-to-day tasks include managing schedules, controlling deadlines, preparing presentations and documents, and taking minutes for key committees and departmental meetings. The assistant will also handle general secretarial duties, manage electronic records, and coordinate departmental events. A significant part of the role involves supporting urban district management within an EU program, coordinating individual projects, overseeing their implementation, and managing regular reporting and public relations activities, including website maintenance. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a proactive and independent work style.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Public Administration Clerk (Verwaltungsfachangestellter), or a completed Angestelltenlehrgang I (Public Employee Training Course I) upon starting, or a professional qualification in the field of Law and Administration, or a completed 3-year commercial vocational training.
Experience
- Experience with SächsGemO, SächsKomHVO, VwVKomHSyS, and VwVKomHWI regulations
- Professional experience in an assistant role (if holding a 3-year commercial vocational training)
- Ideally, experience in minute taking
- Ideally, experience in accompanying project implementations
- Ideally, experience in public relations work
- Ideally, experience in website maintenance
