Job Summary
Join the City of Münster as a Research Project Staff Member for the innovative "KomZi – Municipal Circular Ecosystem in Construction" project. This full-time, fixed-term role until December 2028 focuses on developing and integrating optimization approaches for a circular system in municipal construction. You will act as a Circular Economy Officer, connecting research and practical application, and facilitating the reuse of materials from demolition and renovation. The project aims to create a digital tool to coordinate supply and demand for secondary building materials. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to sustainable urban development, working at the intersection of research, practice, and municipal administration, and helping Münster become a model city for circular economy in construction.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Master/Magister/Uni-Diplom) in Environmental and Recycling Technology OR Engineering (preferably Construction and Project Management OR Infrastructure)
Experience
- Professional experience in a research project setting
- Experience in integrating new approaches into administrative structures and processes
- Experience in collaborating with scientific and practical partners
