Job Summary

The Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg is seeking a part-time (50%) Research Associate for its Profile Center for Health Sciences within the Medical Faculty. This role, available from October 1, 2025, until September 30, 2028, involves significant scientific work and project leadership within the VISTA-GRK doctoral college, focusing on healthcare research related to environmental transformation and an aging society. The successful candidate will analyze existing data, organize new cohort development, co-supervise doctoral theses, publish study results, and mentor students. This position requires a strong academic background in health sciences or related fields, proven research and publication experience, and excellent organizational and teamwork skills. It offers an opportunity to contribute to interdisciplinary research addressing critical societal challenges.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Master's, Diploma) in Human Medicine, Biology, Bioinformatics, Health Sciences, or a related science; Completed relevant doctorate (PhD)

Additional

  • Part-time (50%) position; Limited contract duration until September 30, 2028; For degrees not obtained in Germany, a Statement of Comparability for Foreign Higher Education Qualifications from the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) is required upon employment contract conclusion.
