Job Summary

The Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the dynamic team of Prof. Dr. Dimitrios Mougiakakos. This role focuses on innovative, translational research in tumor immunology, specifically investigating the bidirectional interactions between tumor cells and their microenvironment, with an emphasis on immune cells, stromal components, and metabolic communication. The successful candidate will conduct a translational research project, apply and develop cellular and molecular biology methods, and work with preclinical in vitro and in vivo models. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact research, mentor students, and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, all within a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment focused on next-generation immune and cellular therapies.

Required Skills

Education

PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Medicine, or a related field

Experience

  • Strong track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • Solid experience in tumor immunology, cell therapy, immune metabolism, or genetic engineering
  • Experience with in vivo models (FELASA B/C certification is a plus)
