Job Summary

This role, based at the Institute for Clinical Chemistry and Pathobiochemistry at the University Hospital Magdeburg, involves taking on a responsible position in laboratory medicine diagnostics. Key daily tasks include performing and evaluating laboratory tests across Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, and Protein Diagnostics, establishing new methodologies, and providing technical guidance to staff and trainees. The scientist will also be responsible for curricular teaching duties in Clinical Chemistry and Lab Diagnostics for medical and postgraduate students, and extensively supporting clinical studies aimed at improving patient care. This position is ideal for a scientist with experience in medical/research labs or a motivated career starter, offering the unique opportunity for further professional training as a Clinical Chemist (DGKL e.V.). Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific degree (e.g., Biochemistry, Biology, Master of Immunology, or similar). Eligibility for further training as a Clinical Chemist (DGKL e.V.) is provided.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a medical laboratory or research laboratory
  • Experience and technical understanding in clinical-chemical laboratory analysis
  • Experience and technical understanding in Chromatography (HPLC, LC-MS/MS) or Molecular Biology (qPCR, classical PCR)
  • Motivated career starter is also considered
