This part-time (50%) doctoral position focuses on scientific research and the execution of a PhD in the field of head-worn wearables for activity recognition. The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive literature and market analyses, systematically evaluating the current state of research and existing technological solutions to identify key research gaps. Responsibilities also include preparing project and third-party funding applications, which involves researching suitable funding programs, drafting project outlines, and coordinating application submissions. A significant part of the role involves developing and testing initial prototype systems using head-worn sensor technology, setting up test environments, analyzing sensor data, evaluating data quality, and meticulously documenting results. Additionally, the doctoral researcher will conceptualize their dissertation and co-supervise related Bachelor's and Master's theses.
