This two-year fixed-term position seeks a highly capable IT Specialist to function as a Laboratory Engineer, primarily supporting students and lecturers in practical lab sessions, research projects, and technical demonstrations. The core technical duties involve the comprehensive management and configuration of critical IT systems within the faculty's labs, including servers, VLANs, and virtual machines. The incumbent will be responsible for the setup and administration of both Linux and Windows operating systems, acting as the primary point of contact for user inquiries and managing IT hardware and software for the AI faculty. Candidates must possess a university degree in Computer Science or relevant vocational training combined with several years of professional experience. Essential qualifications include foundational knowledge of network structures and strong skills in IT system configuration. Success in this role requires fluent proficiency in both German and English, along with a structured, cooperative approach to working within a dynamic academic environment.
