Job Summary
This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned leader to take the helm as the Executive Director of a public utility association in Zossen, Germany, starting January 1, 2026. This elected position, with an initial term of 8 years, involves strategically and operationally leading an organization responsible for water supply and wastewater disposal for approximately 46,000 residents. The role requires overseeing daily administrative operations, managing a team of 17 employees, and coordinating external service providers. The ideal candidate will possess strong public sector knowledge, particularly in public law and municipal structures, coupled with significant business management expertise, especially within the utility sector. This challenging and autonomous role demands exceptional communication, conceptual, and negotiation skills, along with a high degree of commitment and assertiveness to represent the association effectively to the public.
Required Skills
Education
University degree, preferably in Economics, Civil Engineering (with a focus on Water Management), or Law
Experience
