Job Summary
This role involves overseeing the technical building management for the Bundeswehr, focusing on the safe and economical operation of technical systems, particularly electrical installations. The Master Technician will be responsible for ensuring legal compliance, coordinating maintenance and repair, and conducting inspections. Key duties include managing electrical systems like transformers, switchgear, emergency power, and fire protection, as well as optimizing operational processes and ensuring workplace safety. This position requires a qualified Master in an electrical engineering profession, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage resources effectively. Required Skills
Education
Master's qualification in an electrical engineering profession
Experience
- Professional experience in technical building management, especially with electrical systems (transformers, switchgear, emergency power, fire protection, etc.)
- Experience as a responsible electrical specialist (vEFK) for electrical safety
- Experience in coordinating maintenance, testing, and repairs
- Experience in creating performance descriptions, cost estimates, and economic efficiency analyses for procurement processes
- Experience in optimizing operational processes and managing resources (material and personnel)
- Experience in ensuring occupational safety and conducting risk assessments and employee training
- At least two years of experience as a Master in building maintenance (desired)
Languages
Additional
- Must be physically resilient; possession of a Class B driving license or willingness to acquire the Bundeswehr Class B driving license; willingness to drive official vehicles; commitment to the free democratic basic order as per the German Basic Law; willingness to undergo a health suitability assessment; willingness to undergo an extended security clearance (Level Ü2), which is mandatory for the position and required for an unlimited contract.
