Job Summary

The Saxon State Ministry for Energy, Climate Protection, Environment and Agriculture (SMUL) is seeking an Officer for Immission Control to join their Water and Technical Environmental Protection department. This role involves handling fundamental issues related to the enforcement of the Federal Immission Control Act, particularly concerning plant-related immission control and industrial accident prevention. The successful candidate will also represent the Free State of Saxony in federal and state expert committees and oversee the enforcement of immission control law in subordinate areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an environmental engineering or science professional to contribute to significant environmental policy and regulatory work within a leading state authority, offering a stable full-time position with flexible working options and opportunities for professional development.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diplom/Master) in Environmental Process Engineering, Engineering Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, or a comparable field. For university of applied sciences degrees, an accredited Master's is required.

Experience

  • Professional experience in public service (advantageous)
  • Professional experience in immission control or related fields (advantageous)
  • Experience with digitalization, Online Access Act, and data exchange platforms (advantageous)
