Job Summary

Join Bayer Crop Science's dynamic Bioprocess Solutions team in Leverkusen, Germany, as a Bench Scientist focused on biotransformation process development. In this role, you will lead scientific projects to develop and scale biocatalytic reactions, including multi-step enzyme cascades and chemoenzymatic processes, aiming to industrialize biotransformation steps up to multi-kilogram scale with integrated downstream processing. Required Skills

Education

MSc with relevant experience or PhD in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, or a related discipline (PhD preferred)

Experience

  • Several years of relevant experience with an MSc, or professional experience with a PhD in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, or a related discipline
  • Strong scientific and experimental expertise in synthetic and preparative organic chemistry, biocatalysis, and/or chemoenzymatic synthesis using various enzyme classes
  • Experience in industrial process development and scaling is advantageous
  • Experience with laboratory automation is ideal
