Job Summary

This role seeks a scientifically oriented and conceptually strong individual to join the Virtual Patients Team within Bayer Pharmaceuticals' Model-Informed Drug Development (MIDD) function in Leverkusen. The Virtual Patients Expert will be crucial in advancing research and development goals by independently developing and applying Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) models. Key responsibilities include driving the evolution of QSP methods and simulation tools, developing model-based strategies utilizing preclinical and clinical data, and ensuring scientific and operational excellence in all QSP activities across interdisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate holds a PhD in a quantitative scientific field such as System Biology, Mathematics, or Engineering, coupled with deep theoretical and computational knowledge in mathematical modeling. This position offers the chance to maximize the influence of advanced simulation strategies on clinical development within a flexible, international team environment.
