Job Summary

This role is for a Development and Application Engineer specializing in the technical implementation of INSPIRE data within the State Office for Surveying and Geoinformation Schleswig-Holstein. The successful candidate will contribute to the setup and operation of the Geodata Infrastructure Schleswig-Holstein (GDI-SH), focusing on the provision and further development of INSPIRE data and search services. Key responsibilities include active participation in expert networks and working groups related to GDI-SH and GDI-DE, ensuring the technical evolution of geodata processes. The position requires a strong background in geoinformatics, surveying, or computer science, coupled with practical experience in GIS systems, programming, and a solid understanding of ISO and OGC standards. It's an opportunity to contribute to essential public geodata services and infrastructure.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Dipl.-Ing. (FH)/B. Eng./B. Sc.) in Geoinformatics, Surveying, Geomatics, Geography, Computer Science, or equivalent qualification; OR career qualification for career group 2, 1st entry-level, "Technical Services" branch, "Geodesy and Geoinformation" (formerly higher surveying technical administrative service).

Experience

  • Professional experience with GIS systems (e.g., ESRI ArcGISPro, QGIS, Mapserver technologies)
  • Professional experience with programming (e.g., Python, XML, PSQL, HTML, Javascript)
  • Professional experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Experience with databases and data models (desirable)
