Job Summary

This is a key leadership role overseeing Department 15 (Database Procedures) within the State Office for Surveying and Geoinformation Schleswig-Holstein, focusing on official geobasic data management. The Head of Department will be responsible for the personnel, technical, and organizational leadership of a 7-person team, ensuring the continuous IT operation, coordination, and financing of IT procedures. A major focus includes the strategic development and maintenance of IT procedures, specifically managing and quality-assuring 3A databases, the Automated Business Register (AGB), and the XTRA-Server AAA-Suite. The successful candidate must possess a degree in Geodesy, Geoinformatics, or Computer Science, comprehensive IT knowledge (including DBMS, SQL, Linux scripting, Python, C#, PHP), and at least three years of professional experience. This position offers the opportunity to actively shape the future of state-level geodata infrastructure while applying strong leadership and technical expertise in a public service setting.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Dipl.-Ing. (FH)/B. Eng./B. Sc.) in Geodesy, Geomatics, Geoinformation, Geoinformatics, Computer Science, or a comparable field (module certificates required)

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience
  • Leadership and staff development competence required
  • Professional experience in IT operation and coordination
  • Experience in strategic IT procedure development

Additional

  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legal regulations concerning surveying and cadastre law, fee law, and data protection law; Knowledge of GeoInfoDok of the AdV and standards in the field of geoinformation.
