Job Summary

This role is for an experienced System Engineer specializing in network security, focusing on the strategic and operational development of firewall infrastructure. The primary responsibility involves migrating existing Sophos UTN and Lancom solutions to OPNsense. Day-to-day tasks include planning and implementing firewall system migrations, actively developing and independently operating the firewall infrastructure, and designing and implementing firewall rules, IPsec connections, and routing configurations with a strong emphasis on security. The ideal candidate will also maintain and optimize rule sets, automate processes using scripting and firewall APIs, and support audits, monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation.
