Job Summary

This role involves conducting scientific research and development within the EU-funded BinAqua project, focusing on the climate-friendly production of complete vegan protein powders from microalgae and duckweed. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and optimizing the production process for protein raw materials, including downstream processing and industrial scaling. Key responsibilities also include documenting research results, preparing reports and presentations, and supervising student assistants. Required Skills

Education

Master's, university diploma, or equivalent in Food Science, Nutritional Science, Food Technology, Biosciences, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • At least one year of relevant professional experience in research institutions or industry
  • Experience in protein isolation from plants or microorganisms
  • Experience in protein enrichment techniques
  • Strong understanding of protein functionality and its application in food systems
  • Desirable: Experience in food technology
