Job Summary

Join the Nano-Optics Research Department at the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology (Leibniz-IPHT) as a Doctoral Researcher. This role focuses on advancing chiroptical imaging by developing a polarization microscope system for imaging chiral domains using circular dichroism (CD) or fluorescence-detected circular dichroism (FDCD). You will build single-wavelength and hyperspectral CD imaging systems, eventually creating a dual-function microscope. This involves hands-on system construction, programming for instrument control, and publishing research findings. The ideal candidate will have a Master's in Physics, Photonics, or Biophotonics, with practical experience in LabView or Python for instrument control and building laser scanning microscopes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research with high commercial potential in a world-class, interdisciplinary environment.
